Now Sony is again toying with the idea of allowing those who wish to upgrade to trade in the old discs for a digital version for the Playstation Vita.
Sony isn’t saying much in terms of details, but according to Yoshio Matsumoto, Sony’s development leader, they are considering “some kind of program to offer special download versions as replacements” for their old games. This isn’t the first time the idea of UMD-conversion for the upcoming Vita has been tossed around so we’re hopeful that this plan will unfold better than the PSPgo one.
So for those of you who were torn over whether to upgrade to the Playstation Vita and have to buy all new games or to stick with your own console, your decision may be about to get much easier. Of course, bear in mind that these rumors are just that at this point—and before it’s all said and done,
