You need to be on an anaerobic routine at least 3 times working out every body-part at least once a week. You also want to incorporate an aerobic workout at least 3 times a week. If you combine lifting weights and cardio collectively together for your workout routine you give yourself the greatest opportunity to burn an infinite amount of calories and to speed up your metabolism throughout the day. If your goal is to lose fat fast then you always want to make sure that your body is a fast churning fat burning metabolic body meaning that your metabolism is always running at a high level. You can accomplish this by being consistent when you are working out and trying not to take any breaks from your training workout. Follow every set and every rep and every exercise to the end and never let up.

Some people unfortunately have to work-out harder than others because of great genetics or a faster metabolism but anybody can get in shape if they do the right things.
