Kolkata Metro authorities should learn from the mistakes of the Delhi Metro to ensure no disaster take place during construction, West Bengal Governor M.K. Narayanan said on Wednesday. The governor was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of a new Metro line in Kolkata on Wednesday.
President Pratibha Patil and the Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee were also present.
“I am sure that the Kolkata Metro would take a leaf from the Delhi Metro and ensure that during the construction phase there is minimum inconvenience to the people of Kolkata and that stringent safety measures are adhered to,†said Narayanan.
